Week of 2/20/11-2/26/11

This week has been so much fun and fulfilling. On Tuesday, a few of us went to Kids Against Hunger in Brooklyn Park and packaged meals. We filled enough boxes to feed 14 children one day each for an entire year! These meals will go to their International partners and be distributed to starving children in Africa or Haiti or other countries that need it.
Wednesday, we visited our friends at the Lake Minnetonka Care Center. We decorated mini flowering pots and planted seeds. Hopefully, the seedlings will show themselves by the time we come back in late April. Tonight, a group of us will be socializing at the St. Louis Park Tavern for out monthly Thirsty Thursday. Saturday is our annual War on Winter! Now that will be exciting to see many members from visiting Jaycees Chapters, including a cameo from our MN State President!
